At Kampot Dog Sanctuary, our mission is to rescue dogs trapped in bad situations and give them the life they deserve. Located in the south of Cambodia, Kampot town is home to locals, expats, and of course, dogs. If you are visiting Kampot, our doors are open to anyone who would like to visit us for a drink, a chat, and to meet the dogs.
At the sanctuary, we offer care and medical attention to the dogs, working with qualified and generous local vets, where our bills grow daily, coupled with the cost of food and other needs. We work towards full rehabilitation and pack integration, ultimately aiming to find them trustworthy, loving adoptive homes. The new owners sign a contract of care with us, and all dogs are vaccinated and de-sexed without exception.
However, in many complex cases, that home is with us long term. We currently have 40 dogs that will stay with us for the long haul.
We currently have 65 dogs onsite
The pressure to ensure we can pay for food, medical bills, medicine, and more to meet their everyday needs is enormous. If you are reading this, you agree—the dogs are worth it!
Help us help dogs.
Your donation will help ensure a good life for these dogs, easing our financial burden and allowing us to keep putting in the hard work where it is needed most: caring for and rehabilitating the dogs.
Every contribution counts.
All dogs deserve a good life, free from cruelty and the confines of short leashes, exposure to the elements, cages, tick-infested skin, and starvation. We have seen all this, and worse.
To ensure a strong future for our sanctuary, we need your help. Visit our donations page for more details on our running costs.
We are working to reduce the thoughtless backyard breeding of dominant breeds used for status or security, but whose needs are never met, or worse.
We do what we can to offer outreach to street dogs in and around Kampot, and we would love to grow this initiative in the future. We want to educate the community on the importance of de-sexing animals for both their health and population control.
Your donation can make a world of difference. Help us give these dogs the second chance they deserve.
